A plot of historical terminology: the lexicon of botany, between science, linguistics and lexicography

From a historical approach, this paper studies the differentys of dealing with the terminology used by botanists, both from linguistic and scientific perspectiv For naturalists, this terminology is one of their most important work instruments, whereas for language specialists and philologists it is the way to study some aspects of language. A study that combines both perspectives would be the best method in order to obtain better results than those which have been obtained during the last century. Also, this approach proves that pragmatics and sociolinguistics have an important role on Terminology works.
