摘要：

We give a brief description of the double beta decay, stressing its crucial role in obtaining the electron-neutrino mass. Results and shortcomings related with the evaluation of the nuclear matrix elements within the QRPA formalism are presented. A new procedure is established in order to calculate the matrix elements relevant for the two neutrino mode of the double beta decay. This method uses the pseudo SU(3) scheme, which has been applied for describing heavy deformed nuclei with success.
