Internal structures for health promotion in small and medium-sized businesses - a country comparison by cross-sectional data of the European project "Fit for Business" (Part 2)

The project is focused on the analysis of the internal structures and previous interventions for health promotion in 28 German und five Dutch small and medium-sized businesses. The companies were examined by standardized questionnaires. Country-specific differences could be observed. Dutch companies offered more extensive internal structures for health promotion. Dutch employees showed significant higher work-related physical and mental stresses. However, the German workers suffered from more physical complaints. A relationship between infrastructure and physical complaints as well as mental well-being can be supposed.
