In this article we will very briefly present a series of instruments elaborated or adapted in Spain during the 1980s and designed for the assessment of different aspects of the child and adolescent personality. It deals with a total of 15 instruments, some of them with different sections or versions, with the format either of an interview schedule (in one case), a rating scale or a questionnaire. Altogether, they cover the following areas: anamnesis and current life situation, behaviour problems (in or out of school) socialization, impulsiveness, venturesomeness, empathy, self-concept, irrational ideas, depression, anxiety, fears, self-control, assertiveness, aggressiveness, submissiveness, antisocial behaviour, locus of control, and reinforcement. In order to give an idea of the psychometric studies carried out, some findings as to the structurization, reliability, and discriminative power between criterion groups are presented and commented on.
