摘要
Magnetic resonance spectroscopy is a non-invasive technique for evaluating the biochemical contents of living tissues and provides metabolic information to complement anatomic findings from imaging studies. This information has proven useful in several pathological processes. One field in which this information can have great impact is the characterization of brain tumors prior to surgery. This article reviews the main resonances that can be found in this type of pathologies and the spectroscopic patterns for some groups of tumors.
