摘要
The structure of the liquid film in horizontal annular flow is studied visually using the refractive index matching technique. The liquid film is found to contain significant amount of air bubbles, which are continuously entrained, broken up and released by the rolling motion within the film. A new conceptual picture of the gas-liquid interface is presented.
