摘要
It is shown that the actual system behaviour in response to load shedding and/or capacitor switching in the lower portion of the power-voltage (P-V) curve is the opposite of what would be predicted from a steady-state analysis, and can be predicted correctly only by considering the pertinent load dynamics. The mechanism of extending the voltage stability limit by SVCs is explained by simultaneously considering the SVC and load dynamics. Through a detailed analysis of the effect of LTC on voltage stability, it is shown that blocking of LTCs, frequently advocated under voltage collapse situations, may not always be beneficial.
