The purpose of this paper is to give a commutator estimate for a pseudodifferential operator a (D), where the symbol is a continuous negative definite function in the sense of A. Beurling. Such Symbols do not belong to a classical symbol class, but operators with these Symbols do arise in the theory of non-local Dirichlet-spaces. © de Gruyter 1990
