The Investigation of Relationship Between Marital Conflict and Child Behaviour Problems Based on Cognitive-Contextual Framework

摘要
The aim of this study is to examine Cognitive-Contextual Framework Model which explains relationships between marital conflict and children's behavior problem from various variables. This study was carried out with 46 couples, 23 of which had high marital conflict and 23 of which had low marital conflict and their children with ages between 9-12 years old. In this study, "Marital Conflict Questionnaire". "Parental Information Form", and "Child Behavior Check List" were applied to the parents and "Children's Perception of Interparental Conflict" was administered to their children. One of the results of this study showed that children from high conflict homes express more adjustment problems, perception of characteristics of conflict and perception of threat than children from low conflict homes. Positive and significant correlations found between the perception of characteristics of conflict and behavior problems, between children's the perception of characteristics of conflict and threat perception and between children's threat perception and behavior problems, Data obtained from parents information form showed that positive and significant correlations were found between child's related conflict and child's self blame, child's witnessing conflicts and behavior problems,
