摘要
This text is part of a larger master's research that has as its major question identifying how to move towards more meaningful teaching/ learning about indigenous societies in school. The results of five studies on how indigenous societies are addressed in the textbook were systematized and presented to seven members of indigenous societies Kaingang, Guarani and Xeta who, through interviews, presented their interpretations on the subject. In this article we present the concept of translation (SANTos), the content of the studies previously mentioned and the analysis made by the Indians.
