CORIOLIS ASSISTED INTERMODE VIBRATIONAL-ENERGY TRANSFERS IN O-3-O-2, O-3-N-2, O-3-AR GAS-MIXTURES FROM INFRARED DOUBLE-RESONANCE MEASUREMENTS

摘要
The vibrational energy transfer between the (100) and (001) Coriolis-coupled states of ozone has been investigated in O3-M gas mixtures (M=O2, N2 and argon) by means of a double-resonance technique using two CO2 lasers. From the rate constants, measured as a function of the molar fraction of O3 in the gas mixtures, the rate coefficients have been deduced for the process involving O3-O3 collisions, i.e. {A figure is presented} = (2.18±0.11) × 106 s-1 Torr-1, and for the process involving O3-M collisions, i.e. {A figure is presented} = k1-3 Ar = (0.32±0.08) × 106 s-1 Torr-1 and {A figure is presented} = (0.36±0.08) × 106 s-1 Torr-1. © 1990.
