Archeology in the Restoration of Historical Sites

Relation between archeological investigation and the restoration of historical sites. Links are established between contemporary archeological disciplines and the demarcation of specific stages of development and theoretical perspective at those sites where material evidence suggests settlement after initial contact between Europeans and American indigenous populations. Concepts of the historical monument particularly in respect to the part which historical research has played during the process of establishing such sites.
