Violence and survival in agricultural Cordoba in the turn of the century (XIX-XX)

Violence can be studied from different angles and in the plural, but here, without forgetting the cultural nuances of a traditional and agrarian society, not only spent an appreciable time, but also a place of reflection on a type of violence, much more felt that exercised, sustained mainly by men and women from less privileged social strata from that Cordoba in the turn of the century (XIX-XX). And for this task, it has been worked primarily with two types of documentation: a stamp eminently police and other, more complementary, truly judicial in nature. The first part is dealing with complaints and / or arrests made by the civil guards of posts distributed in the province of Cordoba, then regularly published in the "gacetillas" section of the newspaper Diario de Cordoba. Regarding the latter, refer to Statistics Administration Criminal Justice, essential for a sociological approach to the population actually punished and penalized for those years.
