摘要
China is the main trading partner of Brazil and also it's principal target of trade remedies measures. For trade remedies purposes, Brazil does not recognize China as a market economy, which allows that the country uses alternative methodologies for calculating the Chinese normal value. This article aims to analyze the consequences of China's entry into the multilateral trading system, as well as the impacts of the expiry, in 2016, of Article 15 (a) (i), which regulates such use of alternatives methodologies. For this analysis, they present the trade defense tools regulated by the WTO. In addition, the possible measures are analyzed to be adopted by Brazil, from 2016, to continue to protect the Brazilian industry of Chinese products that adopt practice unfair competition.
