INTERPOLATION WITH HYBRID B-SPLINE SURFACES

摘要：
A notion of hybrid surface is presented. The surface is determined by interpolating values taken by hyperbolic paraboloids generated by a net of data points and provides an alternative to the problem of creating an interpolating surface with local control. Methods proposed eliminate the need to solve systems of equations as in conventional solutions which interpolate using a bi-cubic B-spline surface.
