摘要
In recent years, despite significant advancement of historical production about the civil-military coup of 1964 and the authoritarian regime that followed, the interpretations that emphasize the economic aspects of these episodes have been losing space and adherents. We believe that this lack of interest is the result of antistructuralist movement of the 1960s and post-modernist 1990s This article aims to understand the possible reasons for the lack of interest from the press and Brazilian intellectuals of the economic history and discuss the current situation this phenomenon and its implications for the major field of historical knowledge.
