摘要
This paper is about a software development for the solution of heat conduction problems by the finite element method, which was first performed an investigation of mathematical models for heat transfer and the algorithms needed to solve such models. Subsequently, these algorithms were coded and created a graphical interface for managing the program. Finally, the results were validated with solved problems of the bibliography. The final code is simple and simplified, the graphic user interface is intuitive and deviation percentages are less than 1% compared to those reported in bibliography. The mesh refining led to more accurate values and the center refining, provided less computing time. Integration with Microsoft Excel and the possibility of expanding its database made it versatile and upgradeable software.
