PROBLEMS IN THE ECONOMIC-REGULATION OF THE RESOURCE EXTRACTION SECTOR OF THE ECONOMY

An examination is made of theoretical problems of formulating a strategy for using mineral resources under contemporary conditions. Special attention is devoted to relations of ownership of natural resources, which form the institutional basis of an economic mechanism for regulating the resource extraction sector and of directions for their change corresponding to an increase in the efficiency of resource utilization.
