摘要
Tuberculosis (TB) of the central nervous system continues to be seen with increasing frequency in world populations. This seems to be related to at least three factors: (1) a reduced resistance to TB linked with only partially successful public health programs aimed at reducing endemic infections, (2) the emergence of drug-resistant strains of TB, and (3) the inexorable progression of the AIDS epidemic. This article reviews the varied MR imaging findings in immunocompetent patients with TB involving the central nervous system.
