Research for action, action for research with victims of armed conflict in Soacha, Colombia

This document reports on the results of the Fundacion Colombia Nuevos Horizontes research: a study from the action research with population victim of the armed conflict, 2014-2016. Research follows the critical social paradigm with a qualitative approach. The type of research is Action Research. Based on a participatory diagnosis, five sub-lines are proposed that shape the action, which are described in their approach: development and scope, reflection, the main findings and conclusions. We review some epistemological, theoretical, conceptual and methodological elements of the Action Research, related to volunteering, family, social sciences and coexistence in the daily life of the organization. It is also concluded that sociopolitical violence adds to the daily violence and must be included in the different processes that will be carried out with the beneficiary population.
