On the basis of the study of specimens from several museums, three species are recorded as new to the Hawaiian Islands [Bacanius (Muellerister) rombophorus (Aube), Bacanius (Gomyister) dentrecasteauxi Gomy and Platylomalus gardineri Scott] and some new Hawaiian localities are given for two other species [Acritus komai Lewis and Abraeomorphus atomarius (Sharp)].
