INTERDISCIPLINARITY IN THEORY AND PRACTICE OF DEMOCRACY

The set of "Modern theories of democracy" study materials, prepared with support from NFPD - national fund for personnel development, is represented in the article. Study course is developed based on findings from national and abroad researches. Within the course the need to use thorough interdisciplinary approach to understanding of key problems which arise in course of democratization process in nowadays is emphasized. The goal for the course is not only to get theoretical knowledge but also to attain and practice communication and teamwork skills which are essential for a citizen of democratic society. The interdisciplinary approach presented in the course enables relevancy of the course to the history, sociology, economy and philosophy of politics.
