摘要
Six women's groups in western Kenya, involving more than 60 women, have been trained in production of the one-pot Maendeleo stove and are beginning to earn regular incomes from making and selling them. Most of the women involved were already working as potters, making flower and cooking pots and, in some cases, other types of stove. With the help of marketing support from the Ministry of Agriculture, they are meeting the need for a stove which is affordable, and saves time and effort by reducing fuelwood needs.
