摘要：

One of the most famous legacies of ancient Stoicism to modern thought is the conception of cosmopolitanism. However this original Stoic idea has been transformed by new approaches and tendencies. Martha Nussbaum, philosopher and relevant classicist, rearticulates one of the most valuable theories that explicitly follow a Stoic approach nowadays. My purpose in this paper is to analyze her exposition on world citizenship rather than the later critical discussions that her cosmopolitan theory has arisen.
