摘要
Fe/Ni and Fe/Fe1-xNix multilayer structures with a wavelength λ between 4 and 40 nm were prepared on quartz crystals in an uhv coevaporation system at room temperature. The in situ measurements of the resistance during the evaporation process of Fe/Ni multilayers showed an oscillating behaviour for the Fe and the Ni layers. With increasing number of layers-independent of the wavelength λ-the magnetization reduced. CEMS spectra taken at room temperature show an additional central ine. When the temperature is lower than 70 K the high-field susceptibility increases. This behaviour appears to be consistent with the occurrence of low spin (LS) states of the Fe atoms in the interference regions of the layered films. © 1990.
