摘要
To evaluate and optimize the system efficiency of a traction drive it is necessary to calculate the losses in each component and to estimate the dependencies to each other. By optimizing the interaction of traction inverter and traction induction machine it is possible to reduce the energy consumption in the driving cycle. In particular, improvements due to flux weakening at partial load and the influence of different pulse patterns on the efficiency shall be identified. The derived dependencies are verified by extensive measurements. Using an optimized motor control strategy depending on the operating point leads to a considerable increase of efficiency in actual line operation.
