Heat transfer between 4.6-9.9 mm in diameter cooled metallic spheres and 300-800 mum ceramic particles moving in laminar jets of air and argon plasma with temperature 6000-11500 K with flow speed 27-53 m/sec was investigated experimentally. The experiments were performed on a high-frequency induction setup. The power supplied to the plasmatron was 18-58 kW. The heat fluxes to the spheres were determined by calorimetric measurements, and the heat fluxes to the moving particles were determined from their rates of heating with the help of the equation of nonstationary heat balance, The results obtained are presented in the form of tables and are generalized by means of a criterional formula. Nomograms are presented for calculating approximately the heating of particles in a plasma.
