摘要
With the constant technological advancement, the companies started to invest in new systems to support competitiveness in the market in which they operate. This article aims to describe the process of deployment of the technology Warehouse Management System. The tool known as WMS is a system that facilitates the handling operations and storage materials through defined parameters, but the deployment of this system need to go through steps that impact positively and negatively the company's various sectors. This study was developed because of the existence of questions related to the development of the implementation of project presenting departments and professionals involved in the process and due to the need to clarify doubts about the usefulness of system. This document was based on specific literature and complemented by a case study on the company Julio Simoes Logistica S / A through an interview with the organization's representative. In order to logistics operator perform their daily activities as receipt, storage and dispatch efficiently it is necessary a technology that provides accurate and reliable data, and that make available information that allows the company, to improve its operations.
