摘要：
Causal explanations by high school students (N=337), concerning alcohol and drug use were analyzed. Content analysis of 16 dimensions related to alcohol and drug use revealed gender differences. Negative perceptions prevailed toward abusing alcohol and drugs, as well as to abusers. Substance use was explained in terms of individual, familial and group problems, emphasizing drug abuse as a mecanism to cope with these problems.
