摘要
After examining the principal features of the present stage in the desiccation of the Aral Sea, the authors conclude that its total restoration is impossible, the sea already has separated into two quasi-independent water bodies. Estimates of further changes in level, salinity, and morphometric characteristics of the Maloye More and Bol'shoye More to the year 2015 are given. Measures for restoration of the sea in the form of a number of remnant, interconnected water bodies are proposed.
