CHEMICAL-SHIFT ANISOTROPY OF THE ANOMERIC PROTONS IN ALPHA-D-GLUCOSE AND BETA-D-GLUCOSE

摘要
Values for the chemical shift anisotropies of the alpha- and beta-anomeric protons in [1-C-13]-D-glucose were measured by ortho-ROESY and SLOESY experiments using non-selective and selective H-1 spin-locking hy DANTE pulse trains, respectively. The experiments were performed under the condition omega(H)tau0 almost-equal-to 1, in order to enhance cross-correlated cross-relaxation due to interference between H-1 chemical shift anisotropy and H-1-C-13 dipolar interactions. Assuming axial symmetry for the H-1 chemical shift tensor, chemical shift anisotropy values of DELTAsigma(H-1(alpha)) almost-equal-to - 6.1 ppm and DELTAsigma(H-1(beta)) almost-equal-to - 2.4 ppm were obtained.
