摘要
1. The respiration rate and the acceptor control index values of earthworm mitochondria are usually very low. 2. An improvement in mitochondrial coupled respiration occurs when earthworms are subjected to an in vivo appropriate thermal cycle. 3. Variations in mitochondrial aerobic functions caused by the naturally-occurring thermal cycles may play an important role in earthworm biology and reproduction.
