摘要
Transaction processing (TP) on UNIX(R) is becoming more popular as an alternative to traditional mainframe TP on its merits of improved technology, interoperability and the promise of reduced hardware and software costs. TP standards have been the driving force behind this trend, providing technology for the support of distributed transaction management. This paper reviews the current status of the standards that relate to distributed transaction processing and examines the important models of OSI TP and X/Open DTP in more detail.
