The Dulkadirli Province and Non-Muslims

The established Dulkadirli Principality in Maras and its vicinity was collapsed during Yavuz Sultan Selim return from the Caldiran expedition and it became bounded partially to the Ottoman State. With the murdering of Sehsuvaroglu Ali Bey 1522, the Dulkadirli Land became controlled totally by the Ottoman State and in 1531 the Dulkadirli Province was founded in this region. In this article, I will try to present; non-muslim group's demographical structure and characteristics in the sanjaks (like as Maras, Bozok, Ayntab, Sis) which are a part of the administration of the mentioned province. This will be done with the help of the mentioned period's sources.
