IMPLEMENTATION OF A COMPLETE LEARNING-ENVIRONMENT

The field of higher education has benefited greatly from the 'Information Revolution' particularly through projects funded by the Government's 'Teaching and Learning Technology Programme' (TLTP). One such project, known as SToMP, is currently developing a complete learning resource for two physics topics, based on a 'Hypermedia' navigation system. During the development of SToMP (Software Teaching of Modular Physics), beta versions of the software were installed at a number of UK higher education sites for the purpose of evaluation. Problems related to the integration of this hypermedia package into the existing teaching structure, and the solutions relevant to the SToMP project, are the subject of this paper.
