In this paper I propose an approach to essayistic texts of the cuban writer Jose Lezama Lima through a punctual description of the book Analecta del reloj (1953). In this sense, I analyze his ideas on poetry, essay, criticism and history. Also, I describe his approaches of Cuban culture.
