摘要：
After a brief review of the background field method and the Schwinger-DeWitt proper-time technique in curved spacetime, one-loop renormalization counterterms of scalar field, theories in flat spacetime is calculated in an illustration of the formalism. Possible application to cosmology is also discussed.
