摘要
Nowadays, environmental or "green" employment is one of the concepts mentioned as a segment with greater intensity for job creation and improvement of the employment. In this work we performed a quantification exercise the entire environmental employment in our country during the crisis or at least their minimum limits. Following different methodologies established in academia (Observatorio de la Sostenibilidad en Espana, OSE y Fundacion Biodiversidad, 2010; Escuela de Organizacion Industrial, EOI, 2011 y GHK Consulting 2007) it is determined that the environmental employment accounts for approximately 2% of total employment according to their nuclear definition can reach up to 7% in its broadest definition. This establishes a sector size not too high but not insignificant; since in the second quarter of 2014, it can be a minimum figure of 364,400 persons employed. Additionally, this article characterizes the environmental employment determining that its nuclear definition is formed by a better quality jobs, to present a better working conditions (less temporality and partiality with higher qualifications), and fairly stable during the crisis.
