EFFECT OF SOURCES AND LEVELS OF NITROGEN ON THE GROWTH, YIELD AND NITROGEN USE EFFICIENCY OF WETLAND RICE

摘要
Field experiment conducted during the kharif seasons of 1985 and 1986 on transplanted wetland rice revealed that among the forms of urea, sulfur coated urea and urea super granules were better than prilled urea and mussuriephos coated urea with respect to grain yield of rice and nitrogen use efficiency. A nitrogen rate of 58 kg/ha was found optimum since this rate gave the highest nitrogen use efficiency.
