摘要
The micellization process of TX-100 was studied in water, formamide, ethylene glycol, formic acid, methanol and ethanol in the presence of 0.1 M NaClO4 as supporting electrolyte. The critical micelle concentrations (cmc) were obtained from surface tension and light scattering measurements. The micellization process was detected in three solvents: water, formamide and ethylene glycol. In all systems studied the measurements of differential capacity at the mercury electrode were also carried out at various concentrations of TX-100. From the C-E curves analysis it was deduced that TX-100 forms hemimicelles on the mercury surface in the wide range of the potential which depends on the solvent. In contrast to several surfactants, the surface aggregates of TX-100 do not collapse to a compact layer but are stable over an extended potential range, forming two micellar phases.
