The article outlines approaches to understanding the features of human nature in the context of two paradigms: psychological science and Christian theology. For the psychological science, the position of Christianity is especially important that a person can always change the quality of his life, he is free to choose the path of changing his nature, while the center of responsibility for choice is in the person himself. Thus, having a single subject of study, Christian theologians and psychological science, despite the difference of paradigms, mutually enriching and complementing each other, lead a person to building a new knowledge about their own nature, including their behavior in the surrounding world.
