The general dependence allowing calculatioon of the vapour transport through the porous membrane and fundamental equations of membrane distillation model have been presented. The equations were determined for counter-current flow of warm and cold streams. It has been assumed that flowing fluids are aqueous solutions of non-volatile salts.
