摘要
Monophasic (Cu, Zn)5(OH)6(CO3)2 with [Cu] less-than-or-equal-to 4 mol% decomposes at 623 K to yield CuO and ZnO, the latter containing structurally-attached Cu2+ . Reflectance spectra show that firing at T> 1000 K generates true solid solution CuxZn1-xO, with a solubility limit for tetrahedral Cu2+ of 2 mol%. Spectral changes occur on reducing CuxZn1-xO in hydrogen at 523 K.
