ON HIGHER-ORDER WEIERSTRASS POINTS AND THE FINITENESS OF THE AUTOMORPHISM GROUP

摘要：
We use a theorem of Neeman [4] to show that the union of the sets of q-Weierstrass points (for all q is-an-element-of N), on a curve in prime characteristic, is an infinite set. Then, the usual method used in characteristic zero for proving the finiteness of the automorphism group applies also to curves in prime characteristics.
