ESR detection of N2O+ in gamma-irradiated N2O at 77 degrees K

摘要
Gamma irradiation of solid N2O at 77 degrees K results in the formation of at least three different radical species. This note describes the detection of a new radical species containing two non-equivalent nitrogen atoms. Our data indicate this species is N2O+ since the major hyperfine splitting arises from the terminal nitrogen.
