摘要：
Upper extremity injuries in the skeletally immature are unique because of joint laxity, underdeveloped musculature, open epiphyseal plates, articular surface softness, bony maturity, and plasticity. Normal growth and development is presented. Injury patterns emphasizing the shoulder and elbow in baseball are described. Prevention of progression of microtraumatic injuries to permanent deformity is stressed.
