摘要
The non-Darcian effects on conjugate natural convection-conduction analysis for a two-dimensional vertical plate fin embedded in a high-porosity medium were studied numerically. The local heat transfer coefficient is not specified in advance but is one of the results of the numerical solutions. The governing parameters for the problem are the convection-conduction parameter N(cc), the Darcy resistance K, and the inertial resistance T. The coupled non-linear partial differential equations are solved by a cubic spline collocation method. The results show that the resistance due to the solid matrix decreases the heat transfer. Furthermore, neglecting the inertial effect for high-porosity medium will overpredict the heat transfer. The fin surface temperature will be lower for the consideration of the 2D fin than the conventional 1D approximation.
