摘要：
According to Amnesty International, violence is the leading cause of death for women aged between 16 and 44, ahead of cancer and cardiovascular disease. In France alone, one woman is killed every 5 days by her "lover". Aim. -The aim of this paper is to study the psychological mechanisms on which this particular form of homicide is based: femicide. Materials and methodology. - The material used was an analysis of the literature and the experience of the author of psychoanalysis of these cases, including several clinical vignettes illustrating the different aspects. Conclusion. - Femicide has 4 causes: (1) badly managed mate aggressivity; (2) slavery in human relationships; (3) various forms of jealousy; (4) emotional dependency. (C) 2015 Elsevier Masson SAS.
