Suffering and responsibility. Moral dilemmas in the intervention of a public policy

In this paper, we aim to describe the conceptualizations of harm and suffering that take place in the meetings organized by a social programm in a slum located in Buenos Aires City. Our reflections will focus on some events observed during our field work: we will focus on complex events, which are presented as moral breakdowns, as long as involve a disruption in the daily thoughtlessness of moralities ( Zigon, 2007). Furthermore, these episodes are relevant to discuss different interpretations about suffering and the way people assign responsibility.
