摘要
International comparison on Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) has expanded very recently, as a result of the current development towards the new millennium goals and global agendas. Moreover, the study of this field has increasingly settled as a matter of interest, both for researchers and policymakers. Whatsoever, to go in depth with this analysis, it is necessary to enhance historical comparative research around early childhood policies. This means in the first instance, to review the first developments and exchange of practices; secondly, to cope with the analysis which offers a contextual approach to understanding the progress of cross-national investigation on ECEC; and thirdly, it requires to disentangle the challenges and the strategies given for the benefit that contributed to it, in order to establish coherent frameworks of data and information around ECEC systems.
